[With Rocket Training done and over with, it's time for Rude to start his own journey. He's a bit tired of the Goldenrod BGM and admittedly slightly curious about what else is in store for him out there in the Pokemon world. But most importantly, he's looking for adventure and action, and hanging around in one town isn't going to cut it.

Picking a destination wasn't hard; just start where everyone else was starting. Easier prey and he doesn't have to fudge any more details about the place to everyone who's been asking about his journey.]

What are some good Pokemon to capture?

For Battling purposes.

Most are good for battling. You need to decide what kind of battling experience you want, from there it's easy to recommend Pokemon. Otherwise, whatever you can catch and train is good for battling.

[What kind of battling experience? Rude thought carefully about his current team and what he's used to, before he replies to the helpful man.]

Fast and hard.

Are you looking for a particular type? Like fighting, water, electricity, flying, so on and so forth?

Besides that, some fast but strong Pokemon are Aerodactyl, Weavile, Tauros, and Infernape. If you want strong but fast, try Garchomp, Staraptor, and Scyther.

[Steve has done a lot of studying to figure out Pokemon he might want... that and a quick check of the Dex helped]

[He doesn't have a preference for any particular type, but definitely he'd be more interested in Pokemon of different types than his current roster. Steve's suggestions are checked out with the Pokedex; Garchomp and Staraptor in particular catch his attention. He doesn't have a flying type yet, and Garchomp looks like one powerful beast to beat. It would be an excellent addition to the team...

...if he could find out where he could catch all of them.]

If you have the money, you can get eggs of most of the pre-evolutions at the Breeding Center. They have Scyther, Starly which is Staraptor's pre-evolution, Sneasel which is Weavile's, and Gible who is Garchomp's. The rest you'll have to look up what Routes they tend to be found in and try your luck catching them there.

There is. I hear they're bad news, steal Pokemon, best avoided, though I haven't dealt with them directly, so that's only what I've heard.

Are there particular safe areas? Any Rockets I should know off by name?

Sorry, I've not been involved in any of their doings since arriving. I haven't run into any who made it known they were Rocket, so by extension, I don't know any safe or unsafe areas either.

It depends. There are various battle strategies. A "good" Pokemon to capture would be one that complements the rest of your team and your intended approach.

I got some suggestions from someone. Thinking of getting a Starly to round up the team.

I have not used one before, but its evolution lends itself to powerful physical attacks.

[So, birds aren't quite Shino's forte. But he's been studying up on them for his upcoming gym challenge with Falkner. Always pays to know your opponent.]

Fly sounds pretty useful too.

[He's not a cheapskate, but not only does Fly do decent damage, it helps him get from point A to point B. Plus, it might be a bit like flying a Helicopter.]

When moving across the region, yes. Why? Because you are able to cut down the transportation time.

[Spend the past couple of weeks watching ninja being flown to and fro like some kind of delivery service? This becomes an even stronger selling point.]

What could you possibly need to go to New Bark Town for? There is nothing useful there.

MY A TEAM CONSISTS OF AN AERODACTYL, ESPEON, HAXORUS, MIGHTYENA, CROBAT, AND GROWLITHE.
I USED THEM FOR THE MAJORITY OF MY BATTLES.
THEN AGAIN NEARLY ALL OF MINE ARE AT THE MAX LEVEL.
ANY BEAST CAN BE USEFUL, IF YOU USE THEM CORRECTLY.
