[And here he's come full cycle. It's been awhile since he's been back in Goldenrod but now that his business with Minoriko was over, it's time to kick back and enjoy a slow evening. Rude might be a creature of action but a bit of peace every now and then never hurt anyone. Plus, some times it's good to get out and mix with people. Reno would've accused him of turning into a recluse and honestly it wasn't healthy for him to spend so much time by himself.

Feel free to approach him for the aforementioned game in his text message. Rude's got a deck of cards that he's idly shuffling, but there's darts, checkers, and even pool to try and win that drink out of him.]

It's simpler than it sounds, really. They'll just do their thing. Some trainers have pokémon that are...more active than they'd like.

[That's a good sign. Looks like their pokémon are actually getting along fairly well. Asami the Vaporeon just seems to watch the Wartortle curiously, and is perhaps amused.]

[Rude nods and settles back to watch his Pokemon; it really does look like their getting along quite alright for a first meeting. Well, it's interesting enough to see Wave so flustered. The Wartotle looks around frantically, before trotting over to a flower bush. He's not-...yeap, he certainly did just pull out a flower and rush back to Asami to hand it to her. And he certainly did trip over his own legs in his haste to pass her the flower. Oh Wave.

Shinxra plays it a whole lot cool; Rude's a bit amused to see how smooth the Luxray is with the Tropius. Shinxra does a whole lot of posturing in an attempt to win over Kinomi. No telling how that's going to go!]

[Minoriko actually has to giggle a little at their antics. Okay, that was completely adorable. Her Vaporeon actually looks very pleased with this, though. She takes it in her mouth and nuzzles against the Wartortle.

Kinomi seems at least amused by the Luxray's posturing, and flexes her leaf wings. She doesn't seem to dislike Shinxra, at least.]

They're cute, aren't they?

Hmm.

[He makes a small sound of agreement. It looks like his Pokemon are all ready to set out and be dads. A thought suddenly occurs to Rude though.]

...do Pokemon miss their kids?

[He picked Wave and Trick up as eggs, but it's only now when he's seeing his own team answering the calls of love that he realises that given how human-like Pokemon could be sometimes, would his Pokemon actually get sad if he just sold their kids away?]

[Minoriko gives him a curious look.]

I would suppose so. But most children leave their parents at some point, correct? I do have adopters who have remained in contact with me so my pokémon can see how their offspring are doing.

[Rude gets that, but at the same time there's just something about this that doesn't exactly strike him as right. Maybe it's because it involves the lost of a close one, without even getting to know them. It almost feels a bit like an abandonment.

Or he's just a sentimental idiot, getting mushy over Pokemon babies.

Either way, he merely inclines his head in slight agreement and concession to her point. Maybe Pokemon relationships were different from humans; Minoriko would know best, she's a breeder. Still...]

...once the eggs are out, mind if I ask my Pokemon first? I'll pay, if needed.

[Who doesn't get all mushy over pokémon babies? Minoriko smiles and nods at him.]

[...is he that obvious? Rude lets out a quiet sigh; there's not much point in getting sentimental about pets and critters.]

This will only be my second attempt.

[That probably doesn't sound all that comforting, but oh well.]

However, I've been studying it since I arrived here. The rest is all trial and error for the most part.

[Not that he's thinking about it for the time being, but it's always an option in the future.]

I believe so. Sometimes it happens whether you want it to or not, if some of the egg batches trainers have produced are any indication.

If the pokémon are compatible, it seems only a matter of time.

...there a reason? Other than selling eggs?

[He's seen people go nuts over breeding, but he's never really figured that one out. It's just eggs, right? Baby Pokemon. You can just catch one from the wild any time, so why go through the hassle?]

Some do it for the money, others to produce superior offspring.

Myself? I do it to spread the joy of pokémon. Raising them from an egg is a great way for a trainer to develop a bond with them.

...like training a team.

[They tried that with Cissnei. Brought her over from an orphanage and trained her from a very young age. Rude couldn't find fault in their methods; some called it punishing, but the Turks had treated her well and Cissnei became something like a little sister to the older members.

Maybe it's not the same as what Minoriko means, but Rude kinda gets it.]
